Why did we decide to create gummies? (Words from the CEO of Lerni)

You’re scrolling through an e-shop, looking for multivitamins for your child. You open the first product. The ingredients seem fine, the price looks reasonable. Then you notice sugar listed as the second or third ingredient. You close it and move on.

The next product has a better formulation, but the price is high enough that, with multiple children, you’d really feel it every month. And the cheaper one that first caught your eye? Vitamin C, maybe some vitamin D, and a lot of promises on the packaging.

This is how it usually ends. Either you buy something that isn’t ideal, or you pay more than feels fair.

Lerni has spent ten years creating educational toys. So what do we look for in children’s supplements? That question deserves a straightforward answer.

Our philosophy has always been the same — the best possible balance between quality and price, achieved honestly. We never wanted to be a premium brand. Premium brands come with attractive margins and profits, but they are only accessible to the top percentage of earners.

And we never wanted to be the cheapest either. Because that would mean compromises — either in quality or in the people who work with us. Neither is something we’re willing to accept.

When it comes to children’s vitamins, I encountered exactly the same issue. Sweet gummies that children reach for on their own are full of sugar. Not because manufacturers can’t do it differently, but because sugar sells. Children get used to it, and customers keep coming back. It’s a business model wrapped in a bottle of vitamins.

Yes, there are higher-quality, sugar-free products on the market — but at a price that, with more than one child, quickly adds up each month.

So we decided to do it ourselves.

Not because we are pharmaceutical experts — we’re not. But we do know what it takes to find the right manufacturer, set an honest formulation, audit processes and quality, and ensure the final product is something you can give your children with complete peace of mind.

That’s what we do. We’ve been doing it with toys for ten years.
